Tom grew up in Tampa , FL, quail hunting, and fishing for anything that swam. Living in North Carolina since 1989, Tom has fished primarily offshore, out of Hatteras. Surf fishing has been his newest fishing obsession. Tom now lives in Wilmington, NC, with his wife of 43 years, Marianne, near his son, Chris and his family. Marianne and Tom have three grown sons, Kevin, Will and Chris, and five granddaughters. Tom got involved in the DRP in the early years by helping Don Hammond deploy conventional tags off NC. Tom is a member of the Piedmont Fishing Club and has served various leadership roles in that club for several years.
